Swim the Fly by Don Calame
This novel was really an easy read about the summer goal of the three main characters who are Matt, Sean, and Cooper who are on the quest to see a girl naked. The three of them are also members on an incompetent swim team. One day at practice Matt volunteers to swim the most difficult race which is the Butterfly which he has never actually swam before. He does this to impress a girl he likes named Kelly. This is how the beginning of book goes which continues from there with the three best friend’s failed exploits and attempts to finally see a girl naked.
Honestly, the book was quite humorous if not crude but the crudeness of the story just can’t compete with the overall funniness of the story of the three friends and their summer goal. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick read without a lot of depth. This isn’t a book that requires any focus its pretty much like watching a sitcom where you can pick it up anywhere and it’s still funny because it is so realistic.
Over all I really enjoyed reading this novel and would give it 4 stars out of 5.
