Ship Breaker: Paolo Bacigalupi: Brandon Herling

Nailer, who happens to be a ship scrap medalist for landed oil riggers, is not your ordinary teen. He shows this is the beginning when he is forced to go deep into creaking pipes filled with grim. Wearing only luminescent face paint. Unfortunately, the pipe breaks one day and his is caught in a leftover oil pocket where he was supposed to be left to die. Although using his perseverance, he escapes to his friend Pima. After a hurricane down beach they find a elegant ship and begin to strip it to find a girl, Nita. After a battle over Nita’s life, Nailer murders his father and lives a life of riches. I got the same futuristic feel out of this book, as I did with The Hunger Games. Which is basically an uphill battle for life which most people dont win, but theres always an exception.
